Detta ska \u00f6ka vindkraftverkens verkningsgrad med n\u00e4stan en femtedel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Forskarna Anupam Sharma och Hui Hu vid Iowa State university har identifierat tv\u00e5 problem hos konventionella vindkraftverk.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r det f\u00f6rsta \u00e4r rotorernas centrum inte str\u00f6mlinjeformade, vilket g\u00f6r att en del av vinden g\u00e5r f\u00f6rlorad.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r det andra skapar de stora rotorbladen en svallv\u00e5g bakom sig, vilket stj\u00e4l upp till 40 procent av vindenergin fr\u00e5n bakomliggande kraftverk.<\/p>\n<p>Genom simuleringar i vindtunnel har Sharma och Hui kommit fram till att en mindre extrarotor \u2013 antingen f\u00e4st p\u00e5 samma nav som huvudrotorn, eller separat monterad framf\u00f6r den \u2013 kan \u00f6ka vindparkens verkningsgrad med minst 18 procent.<\/p>\n<p>Nu har amerikanska National Science Foundation finansierat ytterligare tre \u00e5rs forskning.
